I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works from a humanistic approach through a trauma informed perspective. This means I recognize how your past experiences impact you each day, and that trauma may have shattered your concept of self, other people, or the world. I will work to help you change how you experience emotions, instead of just eliminating or reducing them.

 

My education includes receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology from the University of Utah. While I finished my undergraduate work, I also obtained my certificate in Substance Use Disorder Counseling, which would later allow me to become licensed in the substance use treatment field. I then went on to get my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah, with a focus on Mental Health.

 

I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapists Guild of Utah, WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
